INSTRUCTOR BIO - BECKIE GOLD
Hi I’m Beckie.
I am a friendly, lively, bubbly and approachable person.
I am a Mummy myself to beautiful Esme (5) and Erin (8 months). Becoming a Mummy is one of my greatest achievements and I am very proud of my daughter. Yes she can be a tinker, but she is my tinker!
I have 17 years’ experience in childcare and worked with a wide age range of children from 6 weeks old to14yrs old.
I have an NVQ 3 in Early years Child care and education.
I have gained my experience through working within nurseries and also working as a nanny. Part of my roles have included the day to day running of an after school and holiday club, Room leader of 2-3 year olds, room leader 4-year-old pre-school room and baby unit Manager.
During my time of working in nurseries I have looked after many children. This includes children with ADHD, Asperger’s’ Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.
I have a wide knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage and am able to implement this into our Children’s Taekwondo programmes. Key aspects of the EYFS for children’s Taekwondo are: making learning fun but relevant. developing and working towards gaining better gross motor skills, social skills, knowledge and understanding of the world and expressive arts.
I believe children should be able to learn while they play in a fun and stimulating environment. Children need to have rules and boundaries which is why I developed our Tots Tenets (guidelines on how we strive to be good people) as its important they start to learn from a young age. I understand that children can be challenging and need space to express themselves and build their own characters.
I continue to support the Tots Taekwon-Do programme behind the scenes as well as the day to day running of the CCAA as a whole.
